As I laid there on the hospital bed, exhausted from 21 hours of labor that ended up in an emergency c-section operation, the pain was almost too much to bear. Every inch of my body ached, but the emotional pain was just as excruciating. I couldn't help but feel guilty that I may have neglected mine and my baby's health during my pregnancy due to the stress of my job. To make matters worse, I had just been laid off from that job the night before, leaving me feeling vulnerable and uncertain about my future.

 But amidst life's chaos, as I held my newborn daughter in my arms, all of that pain seemed to fade away. She was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen ♥︎‬, and even though she was struggling with low weight and severe jaundice at birth, I knew that I had to be strong for her.

As I recovered from the c-section, I struggled with postpartum depression and the weight of my recent layoff. It was during this time that I realized something important.
